Nota distintiva del RedWave Smart Controller RFID RED.MR80.FLY-M è la modalità con cui sono gestiti i dati “catturati” dal reader (firmware standard): ISO Host Mode prevede che i comandi di lettura del tag da parte del reader siano lanciati dall’host, mentre con la modalità Notification Mode l’host riceve le letture da molteplici reader RFID stando in ascolto su una predeterminata porta IP. Tra le peculiarità spicca il web server a bordo che trasforma un browser nell’interfaccia utente per configurare e gestire via web il controller RFID e i numerosi Input/Output: ciò permette la trasmissione e ricezione dati via internet, controllando così il proprio device da qualunque luogo, anche in modalità mobile.

E’ prevista anche la possibilità di sviluppo di firmware custom utilizzando ambiente Open Source (C language & Open IDE), per creare soluzioni verticali ed indipendenti, stand-alone, con ”intelligenza” a bordo e collegamenti ad host server via internet (cloud): il vantaggio di questa flessibilità consiste nell’introdurre rapidamente nel mercato nuovi prodotti o soluzioni anche in limitate quantità e ridurre il Time to Market!

Il Controller RFID HF Mobile GPRS RED.MR80.FLY-M della famiglia RedWave di RFID Global combina piccole dimensioni e flessibilità (dotato di connettore SMA per antenna esterna);  basato su tecnologia 100% italiana open hardware di openPicus il controller RFID HF è dotato di intelligenza a bordo (processore CPU) e interfaccia per microSD (memoria di massa per memorizzazione dati), da qui l’aggettivo smart nel suo nome; inoltre: numerosi I/O (es. buzzer, segnalazioni luminose, relè, etc..), ed è proposto anche nelle versioni Ethernet e Wi-Fi.
